Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council welcomes Van Martin to the board of directors
HOUSTON (June 27, 2011) – Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council (GSSJC) welcomes Van Martin, chairman and CEO of Tribble and Stephens Construction, Ltd, as a member-at-large to the Council’s board of directors, effective June 1. Martin assumes his two-year term to the board as the Council prepares to host the 52nd National Convention of Girl Scouts of the USA in November 2011, which kicks-off the 100th anniversary celebration of Girl Scouting in the United States.
“The board is pleased to have Van serving the Council,” said Board Chair and President Ellen DeSanctis. “His business background and experience will serve the Council greatly.”
Martin specializes in executive management, business development, and construction/properties management and development. He also serves on the GSSJC Properties Committee, the Katy Higher Education Task Force Committee, the Association of General Contractors and the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP) boards, and the Amegy Bank and Baylor Business Network advisory boards.
Martin is a graduate of Baylor University and is married with three daughters.
