Are you ready to make new friends, try new things and make 2014 the best summer ever? Registration for resident camp and day/twilight camp is now open, and we can’t wait to have s’more fun this summer!

Resident Camp: At resident camp, girls will spend a week enjoying traditional summer camp activities. Learn to canoe at Camp Agnes Arnold. Ride a horse at Camp Misty Meadows or enjoy the Gulf Coast breeze at Camp Casa Mare. Day/Twilight Camp: Day and twilight camps occur during the summer months and are held locally in communities across our Council’s 26 counties. Girls can spend the day learning new outdoors skills or hang out under the stars in the evening, learning songs and making new friends. Every camp is unique! Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council (GSSJC) hosted its 2014 Just Desserts event in late January at La Colombe d’Or. Guests were whisked away to the City of Sweets, which had them daydreaming of sightseeing in France’s capital, Paris, or the City of Light. Guests sampled eight distinctive desserts from Houston’s most talented chefs all based on one of America’s favorite cookies: Girl Scout Cookies.

Girl Scouts Success to Significance Speaker Pegine EchevarriaSuccess to Significance 2014

Join us Friday, April 25 at the Hilton Americas Hotel to learn how Girl Scouts changed the life of former girl gang member Pegine Echevarria. As a girl raised in the Bronx by a single mother, Pegine was surrounded by dangerous risks and poor choices.
